The research of our group focuses on biomarker-guided early and predictive diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases which will allow to identify high-risk patients and to offer novel preventive therapies. This approach is of high clinical relevance to come up with novel clinical models of sporadic (multi-genetic) neurodegenerative dementias, most importantly Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), and to develop first disease modifying (preventive) pharmacological therapies.
