
Miguel Pais Vieira
Assistant Professor
Miguel Pais-Vieira completed his PhD in Human Biology at the University of Porto, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University's Department of Neurobiology, where he worked on neuroengineering and sensorimotor processing.
He currently holds an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Medical Sciences and is a Researcher at iBiMED. He has developed multiple innovative brain-machine interfaces, particularly through the incorporation of multimodal feedback stimulation, exoskeleton control, and virtual reality control. His current research focuses primarily on studying the effects of neurorehabilitation protocols involving brain-machine interfaces.
