Assistant Professor
Fernando Ribeiro is a Coordinator Professor with Habilitation at the School of Health Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Activity and Health, focusing on exercise training and cardiovascular rehabilitation, and has completed postdoctoral research on endothelial repair.
His research covers hypertension and cardiovascular diseases, emphasizing the clinical role of exercise. He has led numerous clinical trials and published in high-impact journals. Beyond research, he directs the Degree in Physiotherapy and is Deputy-Director of the Doctoral Program in Rehabilitation Sciences. Ribeiro also serves in advisory and regulatory roles in Portugal and internationally.
