Rui Vitorino has focused on the development and application of high performance technologies in biomedical research. The integration of multi-omics data through next generation sequencing and mass spectrometry enables detailed analysis of genomes, transcriptomes, proteomes and metabolomes.
In this sense, the development of bioinformatics pipelines from the user perspective that facilitate the analysis of complex data and enable the identification of biomarkers and new therapeutic targets is the main objective of RV.
