SIV has been an Assistant Professor at the UA’s Medical Sciences Dept. (DCM) since 2006, where she lectures on biomedical topics and Coordinates the PhD program on Rehabilitation Sciences. SIV is a Counselor of the UA’s Doctoral School and a former Counselor of the UA’s Scientific Council. She was the DCM Mobility Coordinator for 5 years, and a former Counselor of the DCM and SACS (Health Sciences) Departments. SIV is on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Biomedicine (iBiMED) Research Unit and also Coordinates the iBiMED’s Imaging Facility – a node of the Portuguese PPBI and European EUBI bioimaging networks.
