Alexandra Nunes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Sciences, University of Aveiro (UA) and Principal Investigator at Institute for Biomedicine (iBiMED) - Aveiro. During her career she has been teaching courses related to biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular biomedicine in both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Alexandra Nunes started her undergraduate studies at the University of Aveiro, in Biochemistry and Food Chemistry which she concluded in 1996, and in 2000 concluded her Master Degree in Natural Products and Food Stuff in the same institution. She developed her PhD in Chemistry, in the Chemistry Department of University of Aveiro from 2000 to 2004. She is specialist in metabolic profiling, spectroscopic techniques and multivariate analysis of spectroscopic signals. Alexandra Nunes is interested in the application of spectroscopic techniques to the analysis of complex matrices, she uses multivariate analysis to the interpretation of spectroscopic signals for the analysis of biological samples.
